Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America is an actress and singer. Bell is an Michigan native born and was raised by her parents Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). She is the daughter of a Polish and her father German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen developed a talent to perform on the age of a child. She attended her audition in 1992 and got a role on Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell received an agent who was appointed by her mother at the age of 13 and was cast as a model for newspapers and television commercials. Also, Bell began taking classes in acting privately. Bell appeared in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 in a role that was not credited to her. Bell studied at Shrine Catholic High School where she took part in musical as well as drama. Bell was chosen to play the lead role as Dorothy in her high school's play The Wizard of Oz. After graduation Bell made the move in New York City to attend the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts, where she was a musical theater student. Bell dropped out of her studies in 2001 and assumed the role of Becky, a character from Tom Sawyer. In 2001, she made her debut on the credit screen playing the character of Becky Pootie Tang. The film was cut, however, her scene was cut from the film, and she only appears in the credits. Bell appeared on Broadway for the first time in The Crucible, a revival with Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
